Building Pathways to Latina Leadership
Latinas In Leadership (formerly Latinas & Power) is a leadership accelerator that helps Latinas strengthen their identity-centered leadership skills, without the systemic barriers that limit their economic mobility and representation.
Our three programs–Latinas in Leadership Symposium, Latinas In Leadership Institute (LiLi) and La Mesa–equip Latinas from all sectors and educational backgrounds to connect with others more intentionally so that they can create pathways to becoming exceptional candidates for leadership roles.

Program Highlights:
The Latinas in Leadership Institute (LiLi) is a culturally relevant program by the Latinas & Power Corporation that equips early-to-mid-career Latinas, community leaders, and entrepreneurs with the tools, skills, and resources to excel in leadership across corporate, community, and entrepreneurial sectors.
Self-Discovery
Participants explore their cultural identity and learn to embrace it as a powerful leadership asset.
Leadership Training
The curriculum focuses on growth mindset, leadership influence, emotional intelligence, community advocacy, and other essential leadership competencies.
Capstone Projects
Cohorts collaborate on projects addressing social justice issues impacting the Latino community such as education, health equity, and financial literacy.
Projects are informed by data and insights from the UConn Puerto Rican Research Institute, ensuring real-world relevance and impact.
Latinas in Leadership Institute – Cohort 7 is now open!
Latinas In Leadership (formerly Latinas & Power) has created a Latinas in Leadership Institute which will offer a Women’s Leadership & Advocacy Certificate designed for early career and mid-career Latinas in the workplace and in business with a desire to level-up in their organization/business and enhance their leadership or advocacy abilities.
Before embarking on this initiative, we conducted surveys and virtual focus groups to understand the current needs of Latinas and what obstacles they face today. We used the research findings to produce an industry-leading report: “The Latina Pathway to Excellence in A Post Pandemic World.”
The report highlighted striking themes surrounding representation: cultural expectations, a need for champions, imposter syndrome, visibility, and the benefits and challenges of operating in a virtual environment.
In response, we have created an initiative called the Latinas in Leadership Institute (Lili).
